i don't know if its operator error (as my foot is still not 100% strong but i can still drive) but i'm finding that when I hit the brakes to get out of the cruise control it sticks like i'm not hitting the brakes hard enough.
anyone else have this problem?

wow, thank goodness michael is here with his awesome knowledge and great insight to fixing the problem. good job captain obvious
anyway......sounds like a bad sensor from the brake petal to the cruise control system. i'd probably bring that in to get it looked at, that or dont set the cruise. that sounds dangerous

yeap, as soon as you touch the brake (or clutch in a manaul) the cruise should disengage.

I think mine is too touchy, if I just brush the clutch it disengages.

if you speed up over the cruise limit and slow back down it will kick back in~ not sure if using the brake petal above the limit to slow down if it will try and kick back in.

if you can touch the top of your clutch petal and make it move barly trying then there is to much slack in the petal and it needs to be adjusted. When ever mine unadjusts itself and I have slack the car is 10x harder to shift and the trans is notchy as hell since the clutch isnt going in as far as it should be. Take up the slack in it.

Hey Brandon, I was told that the cable is split at the end, resulting in me having to press extremely hard on the clutch, and weird shifting:
1-2 is very notchy and difficult, 2-3 isn't to bad, 3-4 is smooth as hell, 4-5 is similar to 1-2. reverse... ugh hard.
And this is with an MGW Shifter...
How could I go about fixing that?

any use of the brake disengages it... at least on my last two Mustangs.
that sounds like it would be worthy for its own thread On a second thought... GET YOUR ASS TO YOUR DYNO APPOINTMENT

I can't recall... anyone remember if our cruse control shutoff has a sensor in the master cylinder as well? or is it only a switch under the brake pedal arm

if you were local, id could just take a look under your hood j/k
anyways, check the cruise control box under the drivers fender and make sure it isnt dirty causing it to hang up, or like kyle said, the switch on the brake pedal can be going out causing it to take more effort to turn off.
*whispering* psst kyle, there is an off button on the steering wheel too, its not really too dangerous

the clutch cable generally wont cause the petal to be hard to press, its probably something wrong with the clutch itself.
