Clicking Noise kind of Squeeky Noise...

Hey guys ... I can't figure out what it is so i'm asking higher authority ... When I accelerate, the car makes a clicking noise from what seems to be under the console ... driving me NUTS! when I cost, if my window is down, I hear a squeeking noise going on ... AHHHH!!! IM ... going crazy...

Two different noises. That does make it harder to diagnose. Any chance your belt is slipping. I'll be back later with a better answer . . .

make sure the driveshaft isnt hitting the x pipe.

Thing about the U-Joint is its built into the drieshaft ... it's all one piece. Thanks Ford... I don't think the Drivehaft is hitting the X-Pipe...would it get thrown out of alignment like that? And, the belt ... haven't thought of that.

actually, say that because i fixed a rubbing driveshaft on mikeys car tuesday and it was doing the same type of noise. it wont throw it out of balance enough to notice anything,its not going to be a u joint because of the design of the driveshaft having the flex-type joints.

Guess you don't know any mechanics from the local Ford Dealer. I know the newer cars can drive you nuts. Do any of your mods void the warranty?

I think I would try the dealer. If they mention the cats being gone, act like you didn't know. They may trouble shoot the problem for you before they notice though.
