alright so im debating on whether or not to supercharge. i have an 02 auto v6. my current mods are 4.10 gears and a posi-trac differential on the 7.5 rear end, bbk shorty headers, flowmaster dual exhaust, k&n drop-in filter, and an sct livewire. im getting an off-road x-pipe soon as well as a cam, heads, and ported intakes. i also have a 65mm halfshafted throttle body waiting to be installed. im hoping for around 220rwhp with all of these. now, i would like to get about 340-350 rwhp. so what would it take? im thinking about doing a vortech with about 11psi. would that be enough? and this is a street car so i want to keep my tranny stock(except for a stall, cooler, and shift kit) and the 7.5 rear. does this sound alright? ill be babying the car for the most part.

If a certain other V6 owner doesn't go through with his plans, I know of a great idea for you to get to that number.
If he does, then I Would go with a centri style like the vortech. You'll just want to make sure your forge the internals or you'll be picking rod pieces out of your oil pan later. I don't see why you couldn't get to the 300ish mark with a centri with decent boost.
Now, the main question I have is....if you are going to be babying it for the most part, then why spend the money on the blower? That will be a lot of bank just to say you have a certain dyno number and the bolt on....
And yes, Back Yard Customs does do blower installs....rotating assemblies I'm not sure of right this second, but we will be expanding there soon once I find me a nice priced 351 or 460 block.

ill only be babying it until i get an 8.8 rear, beef up the tranny a bit, and possibly forged internals although i think ill be safe with 9-11psi. once i bump it up, ill do a 4.3 stroker.

I wouldnt push it much past 350 as thats about the limit on the stock block... I might even hold it around 300 to be safe. Now if you built the bottom end as well as the top end when you do the heads/cam/intakes then you can push it much farther.
You can always build the motor and get it ready for a blower and then do a single turbo and have an amazing setup. If you are set on a supercharger dont go with a roots blower~ go with a vortech or procharger.
