What's it doing? If it just won't roll up sometimes get used to slamming the door, it'll work just fine.

Wont go down, does not budge, just clicks inside the door, I ran 12 volts straight to the motor, nothing.

Usually the regulator and the motor come as an assembly....its not difficult to replace. take the door panel off, disconnect any connectors, losen the bolts to the motor/regulator assembly.....support the window( I even take it out) and then pull the motor out....reverse for installation, and make sure you get the window back in the track properly if you take it out.

I got it fixed, new motor fixed it. the most ridiculous thing ever is having the entire assembly installed with bolts, then they put rivets to hold the glass to the rest of it, stupid as hell, I had to drill it out and replace with bolts, but she works great now.

Wouldnt you know it, right after I post this, my wife calls and says its broke again! I didnt know it when I ordered it, but when it came, it was a rebuilt one, GRRR, I went ahead and installed it, now here I sit. Lasted 2 weeks. I just bought an OEM motor via Ebay. I guess we will see......

Found something out, it wasnt the motor. There are two brackets that keep the window from going up to far, they were adjusted to long, letting the window get stuck at the end of the regulators travel, kinda binding it up. Adjusted it about a half inch down, now shes good. I guess if the motor binds on anything, a breaker kicks in to keep the motor from burning up.

It's got built in stops to prevent it from breaking. That's why they occaissionally get stuck in the down position. Mine got stuck once, months ago, and it's never happened again.

hi there, i have removed the door panel and the plastic white sheet / cover, but I don't see the motor yet.
Do I need to unscrew the metal inner part of the door as well? Along with removing all the rubber trim and seals ..
If so, will the window fall out?

I just ripped out the window motor in my DD grand prix. The hardest part is just getting the door panel off. Other than that its pretty straight forward.

you can go to a junkyard, a pull a part or something and yank one. They seem to be pretty good and reliable overall~ shouldn't cost to much. You can get online for pull a parts and get a quote I think.
