my buddy is looking for a new exhaust set up, now he probably wont mod the engine heavily at all, so its mainly for just for a nice rumble.
so what are the nice set ups on 05+ GTs? i heard the magnaflows on someones GT locally and they sounded really nice, any other ideas?

actually the ford motorsport mufflers sound awesome on those cars, i didnt really care for the magnaflows but i didnt hate them either, they just seemed a little timid for me.
i want to try the slp loudmouth on our shop car, they should sound wicked.

ugggghhh i hate flowmasters, not the sound just the generic "buy a mustang and throw flowmasters on it". in batonrouge, every car has an h pipe and flowmasters because half of them dont know anything else exists... but they sound good.
i was the first around here to run bbk longtubes and xpipe with slp loudmouths, everybody knew it was me a 5 miles away.i was one of the few not running flowmasters

Have him listen to sound clips on youtube. Another option is go to local car shows. I am sure someone their has an S197 he can listen to. From what I have heard on sound clips, FRPP GT/Borlas sound awesome, but many people who have them are complaining about how much they drone. If he wants loud then SLP, Boomtubes and Borlas would fit the bill. If he wants a medium tone that sounds good especially at WOT then FRPP GTA or JBAs

borlas sound soooo hot. i personally love my magnaflows on my GT and am getting my off road x pipe soon (can't wait!! ). i have friends who have flowmasters and love them, i think it's just up to the person buying the exhaust.

if it's a GT (which i think you said), you can't go wrong w/ borla stingers or the magnaflows IMO. they both sound GOOD.

I would put the Stainless Works up there with the Kooks....they are some very impressive pieces when you see and hear them in person.
Beyond that, I agree 100%

i agree with you except i think your biased to the borla lol
i would only take insight from people who have a 05, the exhaust systems are totally different.

Is it really biased if you KNOW that it is the best and not just FEEL that way?
