Do you have the money for an engine swap?

650HP would be most reliable with a built motor.. If you go blower and aim for those #s.. the engine/block probably won't last too long as it stands..
I wish I could offer some experience but I only drive slow cars

If I had $10K laying around, I would order a fully build up long block from Modular Mustang Racing. That will be rated for 900+ hp.

Have the Modular Mustang Racing 5L stroker 950 block (rated at 950 rwhp). Also their stage II heads/cams. Conservative dyno (low timimg) from a couple months back gave 680 rwhp/735 rwtq from the 76mm turbo. Just installed 200 shot wet nitrous system. Going to try just 75 shot next time at the track.

how much boost are you running?i think itll pop with anything over a 100 shot, nitrous under boost is twice as effective as regular nitrous
680+400= 1080 keep in mind 680 rwhp is about 800 on the motor.i dont think they rate engines by rwhp, im almost certain its flywheels hp
the 75 shot is gonna be healthy as long as your not over 10psi, probably give you a 125hp improvement

20 lbs boost. We're not going anymore than 75...maybe even just 50, without a retune. Motor is supposed to be good for 950 rear wheel. Have 4r70w, 9 inch rear, GT500 duals piggybacked by two GT40 pumps, and 2 single KB baps.

dude!!!! you are seriousely pushing it even with a 75 shot, let me know how it goes, if it works out for you, imma spray 50shot on my procharger @20psi. my combo is good for 1200 hp but i was still skeptical.if it works for you without detonation, ill do the same. make sure you have a wicked intercooler, itll help.
props for having balls, i though i was the only one for a while...

There are several other turbo s197s using 16-20 lbs boost and 75-100 wet shots as a combo. They seem to be doing OK. We'll be monitoring the a/f closely.
Do you race at State Capitol? Ever go to No Problem? Car ran there last friday.

really???what car is this, ive probably see it...ive been to both on occasion,im still tweaking mine right now. if it holds up that is a good thing because we have the same block, they must just be pulling the timing out to keep from detonating. i think ist kinda funny for a built motor is only rated a 950, i bet they are being conservative with thier warranty. if you have 4340crank, forged pistons and h beam rod, you should handle 1200hp. is Cody doing your tuning?if so i may swing by one day to check the car out.
my original plans wer to do 16psi with nitrous but i decided to go procharger instead.imma be dyno tuning mine all next week on our new dyno so i should be at the track with the nitrous soon.

Livernois has a good short block rated at 1500 hp. You have two options, either N/A or Super/Turbo charged. Check them out.
