my 94 mustang will not stay running for more then a couple seconds, ive checked the mass airflow sensor & i really am stuck & looking for help. any suggestions?
my dad just usually tweaks with it, turns it up a tad and if it sounds like where it needs to be then he leaves it. just gotta make sure not to rev it up too much.
if u need specifics on how to do that simplyorange or kyle or someone could help u figure that out. lol i was just making the suggestion that that might be what was wrong. my mom's car had the same problem and somehow the idle had gotten real low. i know it's not the same by no means but my four-wheeler was the same way. a real pain in the butt.
Could be a problem with the Idle Air Control Motor. That would be way more likely, I think.
If you give it some throttle and rev it up, does it stay running? And if that works, once the engine is warm does it stay running by it self? If so, the IAC is probably bad. I had a problem with that on two different '00 mustangs and several ford trucks. Seems to be sort of a problem area with them.

I tried cleaning IAC & everything looked clean, wen i rev the motor the car stays running but once i let the gas go it just drops,& dies. the engine was warm when i was trying this also. this problem happened all of a sudden. thanks for the suggestion ill be checking that out tomorrow.
