wide variety. rap/hip-hop, heavy metal, mostly rock though. linkin park is awesome, that is till their new album came out and now they sound more like a girly emo band...also singers like Natasha Beddingfield.

only 3 albums of LP i can listen to are Hybrid Theory, Reanimation and some of Meteora. Anything else just angers me at the direction their sound took. Really wish it would have stayed more like Hybrid Theory or Reanimation with that new edge techy feel. Reanimation is almost Trance, alot of the tracks actually have some really good Trance remixes.
now their new stuff sounds like they totally ripped off U2. That new song they had thats all slow and emo i was like "wtf i hope Bono sues them cause this is straight up ripped!"
Still hoping that one day we will get the album that takes them back to their HT roots. wont hold my breath though, theyll probably do a collaboration with like John Cena or some bullshit like that.

Good 90's bands like Tool, RATM/Audioslave, STP, Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, AIC, etc. A couple newer bands like 10 Years, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, not many more though. And then of course the classics like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.
My wife and I just saw Roger Waters perform the Dark Side of the Moon in Dallas a couple months back. It was freaking amazing.
I absolutely loathe emo and newer rap.

Pretty much anything but rap. Country is what stays on the in work truck 90% of the time because the local top hits station likes to mix in music that sounds like a 2 year old did it. No cd player = suckage in work truck.

Classic rock, southern rock, country. Been on a big Ted Nugent kick lately. Also just picked up "The Wolf" by Shooter Jennings

Oh the list will go on. I have an open ear, but I am very discriminate.
RHCP, STP, Dead Kennedys, Dropkick Murphys (gotta' love Irish punk drinking songs), Jack Johnson, G. Love & Special Sauce, Sublime, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Calamine (Sealab anyone?), Mt. Egypt, Flyleaf, Paramore. 90's music in general, even rap. Music today sucks. Als have Against Me! on the playlist. I enjoy that one Flobots song, yes I do like Death Cab for Cuti, Motioncity Soundtrack, and Coldplay, but I don't consider them ordinary emo bands. Some Zero 7 and this Portishead song. Smashing Pumpkins, Cake.
Kind of going through my playlist now
My friend listens to Linkin Park and Staind. He's tone deaf
