Call a trailer shop, they generally build metal ramps in house for a very reasonable price.
I had a buddy that could have built a set for around $150-200, but he went to the oil field like me to make real money lol

That's how VMP goes to events all over the country. 640 dyno runs at $50 a pop and the trailer is paid for! lol

I didn't think angle iron had gotten that bad, figure 3 20' lengths would be enough for 2 10' ramps with slats, that way lowered cars wouldn't have any problems.

The ramps or the entire setup needs to be 20' long? I can't imagine needing 20' of ramp to get a car about 2 feet off the ground. 10 feet should cover it just fine. Then you would need the platform for the car to rest on...which I could see needing to be 20' long on its own.

ok the platfrom is gonna be 14' long and at a small angle, an the actual ramp will be 6 ft long.but will stay attached to the platform, it has to be strong enough to strap the car to and not move.

So are y'all looking at really building this? If you did, it could be the permanant setup for the dyno and then use the other left for other stuff....

HTML only recognizes 1 space no matter how many spaces or tabs you put in. You have to use the tab special character to make more than 1 space appear...again, fail == you.

yeah, much better off with a 4-post than trying to rig anything. Pretty much nothing worse than a car coming off the dyno. I would assume around $3k to build anything stationary that could support anything with a reasonable safety factor.

Hey guys. Im Benjy with TPS Performance. I have already ordered a 4 post 12000lb for the dyno. The reason we are building ramps is to try and have the dyno ready for Mustang Evolution Dyno Day. The 4 post will not be in for 4 to 6 weeks so we are wanting to build solid, safe, functional, and transportable ramps. We are planning on being mobile with our dyno so we are designing them for that purpose as well. We tune diesel trucks as well as cars so the ramps need to be very capable of supporting the weight. Im looking forward to meeting you all at the dyno day.
