William Petersen's 'CSI' life of crime to end - MSN TV News
OK. I love CSI. but there comes a time when people need to take a step back and realize its time to let things go. Last season, Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) left the show. During off season, Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) got busted for possession of Heroin, Cocaine and the E, so its likely that he wont be on the next season till the middle of the season (and other factors based on the finale).
Now William Peterson (Grissom) is leaving. Cmon, enough is enough. Let the show end already! IMO the more people they need to replace, the less and less it feels like CSI anymore. I would rather the show had ended on a high note a season or so ago, then get dragged out and down like i feel it is now.

+1... its all about the bottom line.. if money can be made they dont care about the show.
I dont like all the CSI spin offs.... their should have been one and only.

I've never watched any CSI. I love the original Law and Order, though. I watch that almost every day.

I read that Jorja Fox and William Peterson are not gone for good. Peterson will help produce and both he & Fox will make guest appearances now and again. Peterson made some statement about not wanting fans to abandon the show. I'm willing to see how they plan on keeping it going. There are still a lot of great characters left...and all the crime shows beat the piss out of all the stupid reality shows on other networks.

I gotta give them credit. I never watched CSI a whole lot but I knew how good William Peterson was for the show. They got the perfect guy to replace him.

I'm kinda curious as well how they will play this out. With WP gone, Fishburne will be a suitable replacement i guess i wont turn this into a plot like/dislike thread, but I hope they dont destroy the series with the transition.

I don't care for CSI.
Watched two episodes where the investigators came up with some bullshit analysis because they did something that related to it long ago randomly.
Such as some episode there was some sort tear in someone's clothing or something and this woman is all "Oh that wasn't caused by a struggle, it was caused by a bug eating it. I studied bugs last summer when on vacation." I saw that and groaned with disgust and turned it off. There was some other time where they pulled the same shit with the male investigator.
I could do a CSI show in 5 minutes. "Oh there's a dead body. Judging by how he looks, I conclude that he was walking to his car wearing women's underwear and he tripped over a rare white tiger that happened to be running by after an ice cream truck and died by the impact. I know this because I remembered reading about it in some brochure while on a flight to jacksoffville Idaho."
