Is this Royal Purple Stuff as good as it says it is? Is it really worth the 6-7 dollars per quart?

Its really good, every article ive read where independent studies are done it seems to come out on top. I have also heard some people have issues with it and such. For me I just use Mobile 1 full synthetic

no particular reason, the shop i work at stocks castrol and when i put my new motor in, i just poured what we had in stock in it, i approve of castrol or mobile 1, but once i use an oil on an engine, i dont switch to another brand.
what ive been told about the royal purple, particular the thin ones like 5w-20, is that it is so slick that it doesent create the film on the bearings and cylider walls because it doesentstick as much, kinda like putting water on a freshly waxed car, it doesent stay covering the whole surface, it beads and runs down.i cant see that being good for a piston ring.
