Looked at a used 'Stang-not what it was suppoesed to be!

I'm looking for a late model '06-07 Mustang convertible and thought I found (the)one-until I went 100 miles to check it out.
Even after repeatedly inquiring about the condition of the car, via e-mail and telephone communication, the car owner never disclosed info on the imperfections on the '06 'vert!
Personally, I can't understand how a 2 yr. old car with 15K miles could look like this one! Mechanically I'm sure it was fine, but cosmetically it needed help. A couple door dings, scratches and several large (1/4") paint chips-ouch!
Back to the subject, why don't people disclose info, especially when a prospective buyer travels the distance?? I communicated where I was coming from, not like I was across town from the location of the car.
If I knew about the damage prior I may not have went, or maybe would have tried to negotiate on the price to offset the repair cost, but when I showed up and seen the car, I walked!!
I'd be hard-pressed to do like some and buy a car sight-unseen and have it shipped to my door.
Lesson learned-will request close-up pics of any potential cars!!

if they didn't mention the chips and dings and such, I'd broach the subject of them covering gas  even though it wouldn't happen.

^^ some people just dont know anything about cars~ they dont even know what color their car is half the time... the dumbass probably didnt know or realize the car was in that shape... or cared. Some people buy brand new cars and beat the shit out of them and just because they are low mileage they assume they are perfect lol |
