ok, heres one of the 05 first trip down the track with the turbo. it has only been tuned using a wideband and a handheld, no dyno tune, the rv limiter was set at 5500 and i was granny driving to make sure it didnt go kaboom, didnt do a burnout and was still on 20" rims with the street tires, just ran it to do some data logging. all that matters is that i skulldrug the vette
one of benjy and wes, both first time down the track that night., red cobra was on 18s too, both cars have alot more in them, mine is still injured and didnt make the trip, so i coat-tailed all night
also all of these cars were put on the track right after a 30-40 mile drive.

Flogging Molly- Ya drank with demons straight form Hell They almost nearly won as well Ya wiped the floor with victory Then puked until you fell asleep.
Learn how to drive that beast, don't be afraid to beat on it on the street! That's the best way to learn, you don't go to the track often enough to figure it all out there.
get some sticky tires on it, too
My FWD v6 will walk that thing at the track on regular street tires not even DRs.. :teases: (unless simplyorangeTPS was able to rip off a 13.0, you're still ~2 MPH above me)

As I said, don't be afraid to test it out on the street
It would really be embarrassing if you went to take off from a light and got walked by a SUV who you didn't know was racing

Try revving to about 1500 RPMs, ease off the clutch til car starts to roll forward, back off to about halfway off the clutch as soon as it starts rolling forward -- The weight will shift to the rear wheels pretty quickly with this.. then you can go at it pretty well, go maybe 1/2-3/4 throttle throttle, add more gas if you feel she's still got grip... then you can usually go WOT
It takes some getting used to, but I've gotten a 1.9 60' on non drag radial street tires - if your clutch is up to the task and I can also come out of the hole on the street as well as a softly launched STI (a buddy of mine) on 225 non drag radials (I need to put DRs back on so I can have more fun but still)
