So I was about to install my new cheap CAI today and noticed my stock air intake does not have an air temperature sensor. Even though the instructions for 99-04 models includes details about this, the pipes include an opening for a air temperature sensor as well.
Is this some rarity for 2001 v6 models? or is it normal?.. As it stands I'll have to plug up the extra hole on the new CAI. Right now I put the stock intake back on for the time being :S
and how does not having this temperature sensor effect the car?..
thanks

you have a temperature sensor, its built into the mass air on the newer models, just plug the hole with a grommet...and itll be fine. 96-99 has the external sensor.

I'm assuming i can buy both from a local auto store?
