pull the filter out from the fender, hose it out from the inside to the outside and let it dry....if it requires oil go ahead and do that after it dries and then put it back in the car

k&n sells are recharge kit for this sort of thing. Just remember that after or if you oil the filter to clean the maf a couple times shortly after oiling. Some people have a problem with the oil getting on the maf and causing drivability issues. So just get some air intake cleaner or electronic cleaner to clean off the maf. Make sure it is safe for maf cars.

Don't worry about ti and get the K&N kit...the whole "the oil messes with the MAF" is just a myth

Myth my ass !!!!! People have the idea that more oil sprayed the better, Wrong !!! You want a very light coating Let it dry and wipe off the excess,If any to much oil and it gets sucked right off the filter on to the MAF sensor and throws everything off, rough idle, stumbling clean the MAF after 100 miles or so.If your not sure how to clean the MAF Check this link out MAF cleaning

I never said anything about spraying way more oil than it says, don't put words in my mouth please. I am also talking specifically about the K&N kit. Anyone I know who has had problems have used a different brand of oil and cleaner to clean their kits and couldn't follow simple directions, lol.
Again, buy the K&N kit, follow the directions and you will have NO problems.

You need to read the post. The statement saying people spray too much oil was not directed at you Just remember No one will ever know that you've had a lobotomy, if you wear a wig to hide to the scars and learn to control the slobbering.

I got oil all over my maf when I cleaned it, the main time its an issue is after you oil it, people use to much oil~ it happens.
