I have a 66 Mustang Fastback which has front lap belts fitted.
As our car goes out on hire by families I am keen to install seat belts in the back as well for obvious safety reasons.
There are small slots in the corner of the rear seat as if to allow seat belts through the cushion. Does anyone know if there are seat belt mountings already fitted to the bodywork of a 66 Mustang?

Then my mustang must have gotten them as options. My 66 has never had its floor pans replaced, but when we replaced the old belts we found that there where four sets of belts in the parts box in the trunk. the holes for mine were in the floor pan, just under the large opening between the rear back seat cushion and trunk. The 2 inner holes are just to the left and right of the transmission hump, and the outer holes where pretty much right behind the back corners of the bottom cushion. But you said yours was a fastback, and mine is the coupe/notchback. But still, I hope this helps.
