Will a roller rocker from a 5.0 (1.72:1) fit an 00 3.8l?

I'm not sure if it's pedestal mount or not, but shouldn't it work fine? :?:
I'm asking because I know a guy that is selling them el-cheapo style, <150, slightly used. |

nope, wont fit.
plus, that downgrades the ratio anyway. stock is 1.73

351 rockers should work. I always forget if its windsor or cleveland though... :-?

W, well, shoot, I think it's windsor. :-?
Brandon the ratio is important, but not all that much, it's position of fulcrum and weight pushed around... .01 is way negligible. |

You need Clevelands. Windsor wont work they are also 1.72 like the 302's Sorry

The 351 Cleveland design was almost a direct copy of a 396 Chevy, the 3.8 V6 is a copy of the Buick 3.8 V6, coincidence that they have about the same roller rocker, lol, who knows, lol.

What he said. We basically have a cleveland valvetrain although not as
canted as the actual C engine. |

I've had 5.0 rockers on there, the tip length is shorter
on a 5.0 so it hits the edge of the valve stem. Instant wipe-out!
And no, I did not run it that way, I just checked the geometry
