Hello all,
This is my first post on this website, unfortunately it is a problem question rather than a brag about my newly purchased car. I just bought a 1995 V6 5-speed. It has 138,xxx miles. Bone Stock! I have only had it a few weeks when last night the Check Engine Light came on. I took it to autozone and they said they can not read codes on a 94 or 95 3.8L. Is this true? What is the difference between the 95 and 96 computers?

tell them they can.
Just go there, tell them that you can its the same as 96+
tell them to take their machine outside with you plug it in and print it out!
They tried to tell me that too once, and i was like ur an idiot, lets go outside now!
PS: welcome to the site! and welcome to the 1995 mustang owners with 130+ miles club! lol.

OBDII wasn't mandated until 96. However, Ford put a limited version in the 94-95 V6 Mustangs. Go beat on them like Charles says

yep, if it were a 94 or 95 V8 car they couldn't do a thing with it, only the 3.8s are OBII.
