background story:

the brakes are shot on my mom's 2000 chevy tahoe, my brother in-law and i are changing them saturday, because of this, she has been driving my grandmother's 1994 Buick Park Avenue for the past 2 days, she got her beater-daily commuting car today: a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra
(she's put 45K miles on the tahoe going to and from work this year and needed a piece of shit before the tahoe rolls over and dies with her still oweing $8,000 on it.)
well, now that we have the beater, she doesn't need my grandmother's car. So she had me drive the Olds and her in the Buick, we drove to my grannies so my mom could give her the car back and we could drive home.. here's the kill.

KILL:

Driving out of the neighborhood i went really slow, the Olds is the worst car I've ever drove, i fucked around with the radio for about 3 minutes before I assumed it didn't work (which was recomfirmed later) my mom was in front of me, when she pulled out of the neighborhood she got onto 240 North, a country road where the speed limit is 40 but it's never patrolled (seen probably 6 cops on it in the past 15 years) and everyone does about 60 on it. My mom was going 55 and I decide "what the fuck"
so I punch it, it makes no difference, i wonder to myself, "what the fuck?" i look at the tach and it's broken (i assume, ...unless I am redlining the olds. at 12,000 RPMS

)
I hit the steering wheel with my hand in a fit of rage thinking "god this car blows ass" and it was like Vin Diesel in the fast and the furious, i sorta got thrown into the back of my seat (not really but it did pull)
I hoofed it up to about 75 and passed my mom, then i got her up to 83ish and decided to let off cause

1. that's 43 mph over the speedlimit
2. my turn is comming up in less than a mile
3. i had my fun
4. it's a piece of shit car and could blow up for all i know

Yeah, that was a good kill :p

yeah, theres 1 speed limit sign on a 4ish mile stretch of a country road, no one goes that directed speed.

I've driven on that road 5039475039475 fucking times with her in the car over the past couple years (she let me drive on that road when i was like 12.. good place to learn. lol)

when im driving and she's riding shotgun in the car i might be doing 75 on that road and she wont say anything. One of the times that I DID see a cop, it was a dodge intreped and I was doing 65, he didnt do anything.

not to mention, it was 11:30 at night, no one was out and i told her when she asked me if i wanted to drive over there and back cause she needed someone else that i was gonna drive the hoopty, she laughed and i was like "what? i wanna see how fast that beat will go"

She was laughing hysterically when she got in the car and i was driving home, I was flooring it and swearing at the car cause it sucks balls... we were naming off the things that were wrong with it as i was going 70 in a 40..

and no, it's not that my mom doesn't care, sometimes if we're on a road and im going 60 and the speed limit is 55 she'll say "slow down, a lot of cops patrol this road" and then point out where they are usually sitting.
