GT 500 shaker 1000

Im ready to order 09 Gt500 I have no interest in shaker 1000 radio,do you think there is any problem not having it for resale or an advantage to have a car to sell for 1300.00 less. give me your opinions(when I go to sell car in a couple of years demand will be gone)

I personally dont think its that big of a deal as it takes up trunk space. Its a nice setup but you will probably fine less than half gt500s have that option. I would however get the interior upgrade kit.

and you are correct, the gt500 is NOT a limited car and they are on the way of flooding the market (making all they can sell) so the value will go down of course~ so you wont be making any money on the deal and also thats a great reason NOT to pay over sticker for the car.

Well I purchased 08 GT500 4 weeks ago , it had Shaker 1000 with package which included interior upgrade ( agree go for). I had Shaker 500 in my 06 GT I traded in & would have been happy to take again, BUT my view is that any buyer in two years, will probably want the best loaded package he can get for the money & "Perception" is that includes Shaker 1000, irrespective of the trunk space lost & that damned boom, boom ,boom, just human psychology- by the way paid sticker for mine.

Had the shaker in my 07 gt, that I traded for my o8gt500 ragtop,
that also has it. Trunk space is a lot smaller in a convert. with
it. I had a 04 comp. orange adrenaline sport trac, that had a
510 system in it. For my money, no comparison. If your just
thinking of resale value, go to Kelly blue book, and get a rough
idea of what it's worth in previous years. I think it will be
like any other car, the more options, the more it's worth.
The 1000 is quite a desireable option. (I think). It will depend
on who wants to but it, and how much they like loud tunes.
From looks of scaled back 09 production to 45,000, and with
900 scheduled for KR500, I doubt if you will get any great
deals anyway, which should also lead to a higher resale.
In Kelly right now, 07 GT500's tricked out, are listed a $61,000.

No offense; but you answered your own question. If you have "no interest in the shaker 1000" why in the world would you buy it????

I bought my 09 with the 1000 because it was important to me, I could care less what the next owner thinks. The $1300 investment today will be worth less than $130 in two years so buy what YOU want, don't worry about anyone else.
