I had to wait until I was 21 so i want everyone else to have to wait, haha......they are right though, everyone drinks in college (sometimes even highschool) whether they're 21 or not so its not a big deal.....everywhere else in the world is lower than 21 why not the US?

make it 18 just like everything else, and stop glamourizing it in the media.
Sure one generation might take advantage of it, but once they reproduce and their kids grow up, they wont care cause theyll see their parents are alcoholic losers and they wont want to become them.

once you are 18 you should be able to smoke, chew, drink, and drive (not in that order)... but I think you should have to wait till 18 to drive.... to many stupid 16 year olds out there.

Yeah, even though I have never drank once in my life because Ive seen what it's done to my friends (lost 4 in car collisions) i think it would be a good idea.

When my pops was 18 and lived it Ohio they had 3-stage beer (close to the name). If you were 18 you could by the beer w/ less alcohol in it. Of course you just bought more of get to get your buzz on.
If they did lower the age limit to 18 you would have a surge of 18 year olds with DUI's and car wrecks etc.. After a while it would die down b/c it would be just another thing that people get use to. I say why not, try it out and see what happens.

its a risk no doubt, some just dont understand how bad it can be... you can die from drinking water as well... its all about control. If someone at 18 wants to drink though .... they will... over in Japan and such you can buy beer in vending machines on the street... its not as Taboo over there and people dont drink simply because "they arent supposed to"

I drank my ass off until i turned 21 now i drink every once in a while. I think it would be the same if you would lower it to 18. People wouldnt drink as much after they turned 18.

the only problem i see with it is that seniors of HS will be able to buy and drink alcohol yet their schoolmates won't. i mean, it was easy enough in HS, now imagine if all the seniors could get the beer for you. it would be crazy.
but i was the same way as you. i drank all the way through HS and college up until my junior year. i went out to the local bars, had my fun, and rarely go back now. ive been in dc now for about 3 months and ive drank out at the bars once. i still have a case of beer in the fridge at all times, but i dont wake up, drink beer, shotgun a few, go drink, come back and drink a few more like back in my college days.

^^ It would be a berr fest. I didnt think about seniors buying beer for everybody else. That would be a disaster
