Using a used clutch?

Alright, im eventually doing a V8 swap, but since itll take a while, and i dont feel like driving my automatic thunderbird, i want to do a 5-speed swap, the thing is, i dont want to spend 300 dollars for a new clutch kit, a new flywheel and all that crap when ill have to turn around and buy all of it again for when i do the 5.0 swap

does anyone here have any experience with using a used clutch?

well the pressure plate and disk will be ok but buy a new throw out bearing and pilot when you put it in.... that should do good until you get a new this and that and can replace the whole thing with a good clutch.

thanks man, thats what i figured, as long as i dont use one that should be tossed

the 5-speed behind my 3.8L will only be temporary, so the longevity of the clutch isnt as much of an issue, especially since it isnt a daily driver
