I used stock 94-98 v6 headers on my fox 83 stang and I used a 99v6 h pipe.
In hindsight that was dumb. I should have stuck with a true fox 5.0 h-pipe. I had
transmission crossmember clearance issues because of that H. You should have
better luck with a fox H

A friend with a 96v6 mustang used a fox 5.0 h-pipe. I've known of one
other guy who did it too. It's not a perfect fit but it's close enough to work.

Assuming makes an ass outta U and me.
Lift up the center section of the H and tighten the collector studs/nuts and
watch where it pulls it. Try to guide it if you can. Clamp the h-pipe
together lightly. Once everything is in place, put some heavy spot welds
on the seam of the H where the two sides come together. Drop everything
and seam weld it, then throw it back on. Muffler clamps are geh toe and
always end up leaking. I've had a few customers come in needing that
welded up because it leaked, then they clamped it more and it leaked
more.
Good luck!

Why not run longtube MAC headers? they are made for thr SN95 body so fitting the bird should be easy. I will be running a set on my 4.2 conversion in my 83 stang conv and they look like they will fit
just asking
rick

Different headers on a V6 is wierd. More Flow = Less HP. Everyone else is trying to reduce backpressure while we're trying to gain it.

the 3.8L in my car isnt gonna stay, the 87 has CFI, and a whopping 120hp, trying to push 3600 pounds...

plus they cost too much, when i can get a set of 5.0 headers for 120

well for your application you may be right but with added airflow from larger valves for mine they should be ok,btw I have a set of stock headers when engine is dyno'ed i will try both to see which is best
