Well, im prolly putting my 1/2 spacer in next weekend. I am also P&P my upper and lower intake. Then I am getting a ebay CAI to top it all off. I am also looking at this nice throttle body on ebay, if it stays in the price range, I may check it out. Anyway, I should be looking at 15-30 hp from all of it.
I would love to hear from any of you who have P&P your intake your self. Any tips in taking the lower out would be nice also. I know I have to drain the coolant. Your input would be great!

I saw a 16 HP increase with a CAI, Intake spacers, P&P stage 3 intakes. No way on the 30 hp gain unless you do the heads

Don't waste your money on throttle body. Unless you have forced induction, your just wasting your cash.

Well I wasnt meaning rwhp, so an extra 16 rwhp is still a pretty awesome gain. That would be about 25 bhp?

Also, can I safely port the heads? Or will I need some extra stuff for that job?

You might be able to port your own heads, but I wouldn't try it, unless you have an extra set of heads other than the ones you have running on your car now. You are really better off to get heads done by RGR, RPM, supersix, or someone who does that all the time and has loads of experience with them. Its also wise to get a cam to match them when you do it and roller rockers is a good addition.

Well, ill just hold off on the heads for now... Till I have more money, time and/or experience.

I have been talking to some peeps who have done p&p there self on the upper and lower, most say they feel I pretty big gain from it... So since im doing that, the spacer, and CAI...then I should really feel I big gain eh? Cause I know p&p helps in the upper rpm as does CAI, and the spacer helps in the lower, so I should feel a gain throughout rpms! I might even be able to chirp third gear!! Since I can already chirp second easily! Oh I just cant wait to get started on this!! :-P

the usual consensus is 10-15rwhp for porting both the upper and lower. That was dyno proven a long time ago and the info is out there(prob not on this board).

A spacer you're supposed to see torque, so maybe you will maybe you won't.

A cai, I doubt youll notice anything. Maybe 5bhp.

Total, if you port the upper/lower CORRECTLY, you could see about ~17rwhp and maybe 20rwtq if those spacers actually do anything.

Its hard to self port your upper intake more than stage 1, that is because you can't reach inside it to do all the way through, the only way to really do that is to cut it open and do the inside, then weld it back together, in order to do that you really need to know what you are doing, they usually shorten the runners when they do it too, and they know the proper amount to do that.
