what would be the best CAI for a 2004 6er?
lookin for as much hp and airflow as i can get

Dont think it matters. I believe the cheap ones off ebay are just as good as the expensive ones.

Get the one that fits into the fender. For the best results.

Agreed with all that has been said. The fender one is a little difficult to install, you might need 2 sets of hands if you can't get the filter to balance on the little ledge inside the fender.

Bunch of stuff done, but it's still a slow 5.0... for now
If it doesn't stop breaking parts when I don't have the money to fix it, it will be someone elses haha

Now ur car will have more hp and a deeper sounding exhaust.

you wont see much more if 5 hp/tq so it really wont matter. I would probalby keep the air filter in the engine bay for ease of cleaning/access.
