Ok so I never really got to figure this out but it keeps burning in my head.
What are the differs between buying a catback and then buying a X/H pipe w/ cats and mufflers isnt it the same deal.?

the exhaust is basically formed into 2 halfs

the X or H pipe, which can be bought with or without cats, runs from the manifolds/headers, and about midway through the car

the catback is the second half, which runs from the h-pipe, has the mufflers and tail pipes

SO let me get this straight when you buy a catback your still using the stock front with cats?
And then buying x/h w cats pipe replaces that stock front then?

no, when you buy a cat-back. the exhaust you buy bolts on to the cats. thus cat-back.

the h/x pipe bolts onto the cats and then the pipes bolt onto the crossover pipe (x/h pipe)

correct. in fact, i would just have a shop make you an h-pipe with pipes they have laying around. it would be cheaper and just as effective.
