I didnt' say it the same way, but sort of the same thing, I told him that the tires looked very small, and in reality 275/40/17s are a bit bigger.

Pick what? Wheels?
I'm waiting on my tax return... we still haven't gotten arround to filing it since my family is busy getting ready to move (we're moving in another week). Plus the weather has been quite shitty so I didn't wanna order the new wheels and tires just yet. I should have them like the first week in March. As far as the spoiler and other body work is concerned, my stepdad said we'll start working on that as soon as our move is over.

That looks pretty sweet, I like my style of rims, but that's just me. They do look good on there though.

Hmm... Just found a site called v6mustangstuff.com that has satin machined Ultralite II wheels by Steeda for $215 each.
I've always loved these wheels but had never found them for this price. I'm considering these instead of the 10th Cobras. Plus, I read on a site that the 10th Cobras are very heavy, and of course, the Ultralite II wheels are very light.
Arg... I just need to file my return to see how much money I'll get so that I can make up my mind!!!

The only thing I had to rethink about is the surface of the wheels. The surface of the 10th ones are no different than my current wheels. I guess I liked the Ultralite's better for their machine polished surface since it'll last longer and clean easier.

I like the way the 10ths look alot better. Plus the weight really isnt going to be a problem. If you are the concerned about weight you would stick with 15 inch drags....
personally I dont like the Ultra lites. They look weird to me and I dont think they will go good with your kit. The 10ths look so good with your kit and that Saleen wing

Yeah, I'm just worried too much about cleaning and making them look good. With a coat of Blue Magic, I'm sure they'd look just as shinny.

Polished aluminum wheels are all coated with clear coat these days, if they were not I guarantee you they would be a major PIA to keep clean, powdercoated wheels are not hard to clean at all, no more so than clear coated polished, same difference really.

I guess I'm just paranoid because my current wheels are in shit condition and have random scratches and oxidation. I just dont want my new wheels to come to that. But I'm very responbile and will take good care of it... sorry... just my paranoia!

Road salt!! There is your oxidation, I still need to run my GT through a drive through car wash and make sure I got all that crap off the bottom of it from that trip to Maryland, you guys had the highway covered in that crap up there, there were lots of cars that you could barely tell what color they were, just salt gray!!

oh yeah, Just salt in the air near the coast will accelerate oxidation. If you ever go to a place on the beach with aluminum storm windows or a doors, take a look at what it does to them.
