The dent is the side of the car above the wheel well.
Unfortunately it is right on the crease effect stamped into the metal
where it goes from curved to flat. Can this be fixed ?

try hitting it out from the backside if you can get to it. You probly wont get it all out, but you might be able to make it look a lil better

Hm...I dunno man, I'll get out to my car in a minute and see how accessible that is. You may be able to get a blunt end tool and beat it mostly out. The only problem with doing much with it is the paint will probably chip right there because of the curve in the fender.

Well, you can crack your paint. That's is gonna b the worst part. Don't just go get a hammer. You'll need a special hammer to be completly flat on the end. Same with the dolly (if you use that instead.). Go slow and little by little. Small, light taps. It takes an easy hand. :-P

And a steady temper... I usually get frustrated and have to go do something else for a while. While finishing the hoses on my friend's car, i'd take breaks. Got both doors, the rear hatch, and one front fender off for painting. I love taking stuff apart.

Yes I know...I'm gonna finish sanding them, primer and paint..and try to put back on without scratching too much. Then clear coat the whole car put together.

Well I'm firmly in import territory. The other stangs I see are stock.
I do see this one guy with a built up mecury, man it's sweet.
lots of stickers, and the evos.. Lots of them. have to watch out for those.
A few have been stupid enough to take up a rolling start highway race, but off the line, I know when I'm beat.
That dent pisses me off every day. To take off that panel, it'll cost me $1000 to get that dent fixed, and I can't get behind it either.. If Ihave to pick between a dent and an engine mod,the engine mod wins.

it should not, heck if it does a little wet sand it down, (2000 grit sand paper and water) and a good compound.

well im probably never gonna "mod" my driver side rear sale panel, but I doubt I'll pay to get it fixed either. I can't pay that kind of money to get my car back to where it should be, because some asshole thought it would be funny to mess with it.

I just read up on paintless dent removal. All I can say is how the hell do you take that tiny dental pic sized tool and work a dent out?!!
I'm going to have a heck of a time finding a guy by me..
Hey Whitestang where in NJ are you?
