:shock: that's just wrong. why did you stick with a singleport.. or 3.8l... or even a v6 for that cost?

fix it yourself. I can help you if you want. But you'll probably need to get the heads machined and black deck checked out. But I'll help you pull the motor apart. :|

I think you should really consider the 5.0 swap.
There are quite a few writeups on the 3.8 to 5.0 on a pre-99 chassis.
Do a bit of research on it. Wouldn't you kick yourself to discover that after repairing your 3.8 for $1200 you could have had a 5.0 for $1500?
Hmm.. 150hp vs what, 220hp for $300 difference??

I am considering it, someone who has done it bought a slavage 95 cobra, took what he needed and sold the rest, only cost him 900 dollars. If I can find a totaled GT for cheap, Ill do it.

talked to dads friend at ford, 1950, but he is going to do it "on the side" so it will be hella cheap.

well cause when it happened i was 16, knew nothing about my car, and my dad took care of everything. i tried to get him to put a v8 in it but he didnt want to because he thought it would be "too much power" for me  also, he didnt wanna replace the computer, rear end, tranny, suspension stuff... stuff like that that he knew didnt HAVE to be replaced, but wanted to do it right if he was going to do it. I didnt get split port because the 99 design wasnt out yet, plus is was basically just my block that had to be replaced... my intakes and things like that are still from the original engine

I had to do that...so i just rebuilt the damn thing while I was at it. Many said to get another engine, but YOU NEVER know how good that engine is and how hard THATONE has been run. If you put your together, you know all that has been done to it. You can get p&p lower and upper intakes while you are there...heads would own though..then a cam, then a supercharger...ok ok i will stop
