I have 1994 gt w/aod .I have a shudder as the car shifts between 2and 3 3 and 4 especially when it happen slowly like in traffic. I have put in a new driveshaft and new mounts. Anyoone have any ideas or suggestions.

Have you checked your fluid recently?

Hm..how many miles on the tranny and any idea of a rebuild?

the has only 74000 original

I have an AOD in the 90 and get a slight shutter as well...but it was rebuilt less than 10k miles ago and has a shift kit. Haven't really let it bother me, just figure it's par for course.

I didn't realize 94's came with AOD's however...I thought it was an AODE

actually sounds about right for that milage, people don't give the trannies enough credit, because these are mustangs and we do run them pretty hard.

good luck with it, sounds like your seeing early belt failure, might be worth letting a tranny guy drive the car, as sometimes they can help you more now than after total failure and it may be nothing at all, I can't give a lot of help because im not an AOD specialist.
