I am seriously considering a 351-W Dart block, but am curious how much machining it will need, especially compared to a 4-bolt Motorsport block. If you have one, or have experience with them, lets hear what your opinions are...

The Dart block can be purchased in a 100% ready to build state. Warning though it isnt cheap!! $2900 is the best I can get them for.

Dart is indeed a brand but is also a racing (per sey) piece. Extremely tough and able to withstand high HP.

I can get them 2K delivered, but I wanted to see if they needed additional machine work, or not.

I was eyeing the aluminum block, but the Iron will do just fine. It will take a bigger over-bore

same here... except if you wait around and find an aborted project you can snatch one up for about 2,000-2,400, usually brand new.

dart blocks are the only way to do it right!
