Hey guys, just found out today that I got accepted to the Air Force Academy! That's been my goal since about sixth grade. I was pretty shocked, haha.
I also got accepted to West Point, The Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point, the Coast Guard Academy, and one of the best med schools in the SE, Univ of Alabama at Birmingham.
I've wanted to be a pilot in the AF for a while, but recently I've been thinkin about becoming a doctor. So now I have to choose where I'm going. Big decision...

This is a big decision. Those West Pointers got their stategery (as Bush would say) down, but us Texas A&M Corps turds got the ass kicking down. Sure, the MM@KP is ok for what it is, but do something real like AF or USA (US Army)! West Point produces alright leaders, but it's mostly hype, trust me. We get their cadets everyone once in a while on a visit... and they are a cocky bunch! They get a little skeered too when they are on our Quad (12 dorms that are "our" part of campus) and in our dorms. Hooah!

Cool I went to UAB, not a bad school and in a large city Like B'ham, but I would take up the offer and head to the A/F Academy.
Congrats on the very cool choices !!!!

Thats really impressive, to get into all of those places you must have a talent. Not many people get that chance, you should definatly go for pilot. Im jealous of you, but I think you should go to USCGA

Thanks yall. I have been to visit the AF acad and the CG acad. CG was not for me... I was in the AIM program, if u know what that is, Brooks.
I used to think that if i ever got accepted to USAFA, id go there w/o a doubt, but since my senior year, i've been thinkin more bout if thats what i really want to do. Still undecided, but at least im not making my mind up and changing it repeatedly like n8r, haha. And flying in a jet, any jet, not necessarily a multi billion dollar one, is a rush.

Congrats! All I thought about as a kid was going to college, doing ROTC and becoming an Air Force Pilot, I never really even thought much about the Academy, though I did read up on them some, just didn't figure I had a prayer of getting into it. Then my eyes went bad at about 13 and my dream of being a fighter jockey was crushed, still went into the Air Force, and still had a ball, but it wasn't what it could have been. Again, congrats and good luck on what you choose!!
