Rear End gears?

Ok. Im sick and tired of the "one wheel wonder" burnouts. I want something that will smoke both of the tires and give me as better jump off of the line. I am so split between 4.10s and 3.73s though. I have an auto, and ive heard that 4.10s are better with autos. GEFracings are cheap, and im guessing of good quality. Does anyone have any suggestions, and what is a reasonable price a shop should charge to put my gears in the 7.5" rear end?

Also, take into consideration that I dont want to be burnin gas like its nothing, and I heard that if i dont get a chip right after, my tranny will fail? Im new to the drivetrain!

Your tranny wont fail if you dont get a chip. I would get 4.10's def.

AS for install charge it will be around 250-350 for a good place to do it

i just have somethin to add to that...

prices are right and the chip can come second (although i recommend it at the saem time) but 4.10s wake our cars up IMMENSLY!!!! i cannot tell you how much i love the 4.10s. My gas milage didnt change at all... i get 16mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. defanitely go with 4.10s, youll love them!
