i pulled my rear c springs for zimstang today, along with installing max. motorsport drag lca's. the frame bolts for the lca's were a tremendous pain to get out due to my rather wide mufflers. i didn't realize it, but gt muffs are about as wide as the 2 or 3 chamber flows. i ended up having to jack up my muffler some to get the bolt out. each BOLT per side took me 30 min! what a pain. but anyways, if you have stock exhaust, you're fine.
i hope i can get in the 1.75-1.80 range for my short time with these control arms, rear sway, stock springs, skinnies up front and 26x8.5x15 slicks in the back. i'm happy i have 4.10's now, i need all the tq, imaginary or real, that i can get! i'd like to knock out some mid to high 14's with just a few bolt ons if possible.
on another note, a friend of mine in houston, Clay, has a bolt on tropic green 00 5spd just like mine but with cam/heads/intake/4.10's/ud pulley/some other stuff. he finally got into the 13's, congrats Clay! his best short time was only 1.89 with slicks, yikes! he was in FULL street trim and trapped 97.xxmph with a 13.92 ET. a repectable mph for any n/a car.
