I'm hoping by this time next year I can have enough money put away that I can dabble in it. My parents just bought some GMC stock at 4.7x and it's up over 6 now.... I know a bunch of guys that play the market daily and are making a killing.
Right now is the best time to be in it, if you got the money.
I'm interested in Ford, GM, AMD and INET. AMD is near it's 52 week low of 3.00. They are getting ready to post their earnings tomorrow too I believe... it may go even lower. I think in the long run, even a buy in right now will net you a large profit over 2 years...

yes, but ive lost some. i put in some money about a month ago and it went down even more. im pretty sure most of it will go back up again though.
ive been more interested in tech companies...
google is half of what it was at its peak, apple is down a ton, cisco, sun, oracle, etc. alot of these companies are very undervalued.

i also increased the amount i put into my 401k. im pumping money into the S&P 500, russell 1000, and foreign markets.

I'd love to right now with all the companies being in the tank...however, finaces don't allow it...I'd love to pick up a few grand worth of several stocks out there right now...I could retire in a few years.

I need to...almost did a week or so ago when it was bottoming out. Just can't make myself give up liquid investments for a long-term thing at the moment.

If I ever get into the stock market, I'll be buying short term. I don't see myself going longterm. I might on a stock or two... but right now.... even three years from now... the economy is ripe for short term. |

I'm seriously considering buying a LARGE amount of Lehman Brother's stock right now. It's at 7 cents a share... and they are about to get a huge bailout.
5000 shares would only cost me $350 bucks... And for every cent it goes up, I could make $50... |

Lehman was a good buy in the 4 cent range. Went back up to 7 cents today on some good news... as good as you can have for Lehman. 500 dollars in it would have almost doubled your money. |

401k investments only currently, after thats setup how I want it I plan to invest but not in risky things trying to make a quick buck, thats how you lose your money generally

It might have been a good day for SIRI if the stock market as a whole didn't take a dump. Oh well, I went in with a plan of holding on for a few months anyway. We shall see what happens. |

Earnings are announced Wednesday and I think we will see sub .10 before then. I think they will meet or beat earnings. |

I hold JNIP, MODC and CTIC. Only JNIP is up out of those three though. CTIC has long term potential so I'll probably have that one for awhile. MODC is just crap. |

I don't follow the market, but I saw on the news this morning that the european union fined intel over a billion dollars for driving AMD out of the market. Curious about any effect it had on share prices. (I'm too lazy to look it up myself and I can't link the story easily from my phone ) |

I want in soooo bad, just don't really know where to start. If Ford goes back into $3.00 I am buying in. I was glad to see the 300million shares they were selling as the stock should have dropped back lower, but it steadied a little today after a fall yesterday... in the $4/$5 range.
But I need to find some good penny stocks...
