Have only done this procedure once before in my life and that was on an old Dodge van...but here goes. Motor gets power but sounds like drive gear stripped. Can the motor be replaced without removing regulator linkage? I don't really want to deal with that danged spring. OBTW this is on '95 GT (the wifes baby) she's had since new.

Memo to self...
No you don't, just remove the three screws staring at you, loosen up the regulator a bit and remove the motor. Remove the sheet metal grease retainer, remove drive gear, install new torque clips, grease 'er up, lube your slides, reinstall, rock and roll.
