cobra exhaust

yea im gettin cobra exhaust for free. is it the same as gt exhaust ( its a 99 cobra)? thanks for the help
ps it one of the ones with the unrestrivtive mufflers (to meet the hp specs)

it's not the same. The tailpipes route towards the center of the car to accomdate an IRS. That won't jive with the live axle on our cars.

take it to a muffler shop and they can use everything but the tailpipes which will save you some money.

u need new tail pipes. Everything else can be used. Mufflers and pipes leading into the tail pipes.

The way the cobra tail pipes are bent wont work. If you take the cut to a muffler shop they can use the mufflers and the pipes from the headers to the tail pipes and then get you new tail pipes

A good muffler shop with a pipe bender could actually make you tail pipes to fit them, IRS (Cobra) tail pipes will only fit it you have Independant Rear suspension like I have on my GT, that is why I had to get Cobra exhaust, if anyone wants a Cobra system I have a stock 03 Cobra system I am not using for anything, but again, you couldn't use the tail pipes.
