Noise when I reverse!!!!!!

I have 2003 Ford Mustang V6 that started making noise just last week. It makes a crackling noise when I reverse. It only makes these sounds when its cold. Does anyone know what it could be

This does sound like its most likely drivetrain related, or transmission, not engine, I am going to move it there.

manuals make whinnign noises when in reverse.... always.... if auto not sure but you have a warranty they may try to pass it off as nothing but make them really check it and what not
