door sill removal??

what is the proper way of removing the door sill?? im talking about the long plastic part that is at the base where the door closes. i was wondering cause i was thinking about painting it and dont want to break it. thanks.

just pull upward on it. Its just on there by some metal clips that keep it onto the sheet metal. Just keep pullin till it pops off.

I painted mine a while ago but those sill plates get ruffed up majorly... you're honestly better off buying a replacement... that's what I'm going to do once I get some money.

Or, if you don't want to buy some, just spray em w/ Krylon Fusion. Mine have been painted for a couple months now and haven't scuffed yet, as opposed to the last time I painted door sills w/ some other paint, they didn't last a week.
