another quick n/a 3.8

#1 is a 4.2 by mathewneheart (sp?).
he has a 94-98 with an f150 4.2 splitport running 13.4's... not sure on traps.
#2 is gaston's 98 has a modified splitport f150 truck intake'd 3.8 that ran a best of 13.67@99mph.
#3 is 99chromecoupe's yellow '99 5spd that last dynoed 220rwhp/215rwtq but has since added another 20 or 30 hp. he just ran a 13.76 @ 99.36.

i'm sure there are some other 13.9-14+ n/a 3.8's, but those are the faster recorded. a buddy in houston ran a 13.92@98mph a month or two ago... no too shabby. v6powa baby!
i am #388,402 with my 14.90@92mph. :p when i get some drag radials i'll be gunning for mid 14's! |

then i must be like 2,537,421.5 with a 15.3 @ 92.something. stock though.

Tire.... I dont get it... how can you call it a 3.8, when it's actually a 4.2?

I got a 14.4 with a bad take off.
but you don't compare different engines. BUT a 4.2 is a stroked 3.8. the 347 guys and 302 guys still share times and stuff like that. so the 4.2 and 3.8 can be compared. one is just stroked.

True... but Justang, if someone said that you had a 3.8 V6... you would be quick to jump in and correct them that it is NOT a 3.8... but rather a 4.2 |

depends on who they were. if they aren't a v6 mustang guy, I tell um it's a stroked 3.8L. they then ask how big it is... and I say 6inches... I mean 4.2L's. lol.

the splitport engines don't say 3.8L on the intakes. actually it doesnt say it anywhere... except for a sticker on the fan shroud.
