Im going down to mir tomarro and am going to run with my new engine. This would be my first time going down to the drag strip and i am looking for tips. My engine and trans is rated to run high 12s to 13s. What 60 ft times should i be getting? When should i leave? What rpm should i launch at? what to watch and do etc.

Is your tranny a 5 speed? If it is I think guys say to slip the clutch and not drop it, but if its an auto, just power brake till your wheels are about spinning, then when the last yellow turns off, just hammer it.

Yeah, his is an auto... I think you'll do fine Jas, the track is a LOT different than the street. The grippyness of the surface will definately help out with your wheel spinning - it won't eliminate it completely, but it will do much more than regular pavement.
