Almost too nice. Without ABS, I can lock up the brakes really easy.

Looks awesome!!!How much thta set up run ya?? Im intereted in a set, possibly with the red pony calipers....like the bullitts? are those 13" discs up front, or stock size?

The front set is $399 from speedconcepts.net. The red cobra calipers were backordered (and backordered [and backordered]) for the last two months. And are still on backorder I believe. So I went with grey. Total was about $600 after rear brakes and shipping and everything.

They look good man, they look better like that before the new discs rust. But even after that they still look awesome. Note the rust on my rotor in this shot.

I see on the site that they have the front ones, but it says nothing of the rear.Are your rear ones differant too?

The rear ones are standard size V6/GT rotors. I bought them just to match the front ones. Edit: Oh. And the new front rotors are 13" and those new calipers up front are dual-piston PBR calipers.

Sandpaper huh? Well, yeah, if you want to be out there every time it rains or there is some damp weather I guess. The more expensive rotors are coated with something to stop or slow down rust, but even then the part that the caliper hits is going to rust is going to rust when its damp, but as soon as you hit your brakes that is gone. Even stock Ford rotors will rust though. I have Cobra brakes all the way around, my rear ones came with the IRS, but they say normally its not worth the work to change out the rear brakes for the amount of differnce in braking power you get. My rear Cobra rotors are stock ones though, not drilled and slotted like my front rotors, I would have actully have gotten stock Cobra front rotors, but they cost more than these do.

I was looking at getting the Zinc coated slotted ones with the red pony calipers when ever i need brakes....Did you get the new rear rotors from the same place? I guess i can just paint my rear calipers red. Thanks for the information guys. Thats definately on my list of things to do.

Oh. And my calipers were red. I painted the rears cast iron grey when I doing the rotors so they would match the fronts.

i ordered a full front set from diskbrakesrus powder coated red with running pony on the front 13 inch 01 up cobra brakes and powder coated rotors cross drilled and sloted with ss lines, I hope they get here soon i want to get them on. did the new brake lines just bolt right into place with ease? any tips on installing other than normal take caliper off and put stuff on type deal?

Did you have ABS? if i bought those would I be able to use my ABS with them? I reall ydont want to give that up its so nice lol

Should work with ABS, since ABS is controlled by the computer to rapidly apply the brakes.

The brake lines were probably the most annoying part. Not hard. Just annoying. There is a bracket that was holding the stock brake lines in place... It had a hole, but the hole was not perfectly circle. It had a notch in it. Well. The new brake lines didn't want to fit in the hole with that notch thing there. I removed the bracket and put it in a vice and used a dremel to grind the notch off. Worked fine after that. It took me five hours but at least 1 1/2 hours of that was just getting the wheels off. Had some lugs nuts that welded themselves to the studs.

hum the place i ordered them from said they all should bolt on... but you know how that is. so its all straight forward on how to put the parts on easy to do the hard part is little annoying things like you said but easy to solve i hope, any leaking fluid?

Mine were bolt on, too.

It was actually pretty easy to put on... Aside from the bracket, the only other part I had issues with was compressing the piston in the rears to accept the new brake pads. Didn't have the Ford tool, but needlenose pliers worked after much hand strain.

My biggest problem was the first set of SS lines I had wouldn't work, so I had to wait on another set, I let it sit there with the lines off for a couple weeks while I waited on the SS lines to get here, I had a real problem getting the air bled from the brake lines. Other than that, no big problems. Also make sure the brake banjo bolts are the ones with the proper threads for your calipers, mine weren't, but were close enough that the screwed in and ruined the threads on one of my calipers, not good. Had to take it to a machine shop to have it repaired.
