So I was merging onto the 5 fwy and I ended up merging behind a big construction trunk. I didn't realize it but it was carring gravel. Out of no where gravel starts flying all over the place and it hits my car constatnly. I was unable to change lanes until about 20 seconds after I merged. By then it was too late. I have rock chips all over my hood and my front bumber (stupid a$$ truck) What is the best way to get those out? I used turtles wax "chipstick" It worked in some areas but on the bigger ones it only made the chips dark red (not matching my red) But i guess it's better than white marks. I only took care of the bigger, most noticeable marks. I really dont want to use a stupid chip stick and color my whole entire hood and then my whole bumber. The chips literally are all over my hood, hundreds! Ranging from <that size to . <that size. What should I do.....I'm pissed

you should have got the guy to pull over, or wait untill he did and tell hime to give you his info and call the main office. that not legal to have gravel going anywhere. They have to have there load tied down or tarped. i would have kill the ****er. and then made them reapaint it. maybe you know what truck company it was, and you can talk to them.

Yeah, I do believe that it gets covered under your comprehensive insurance on your policy. Some punk hit me in a parking lot recently...I think the repairs are under my 500$ deductible...but it sounds like yours may be well worth reporting.

First wash your stang, then take some 2000 Grit sand paper, and a water hose. wet sand over the chips, when U went sand go in a X or with the paint, after you wipe the water off, take some touch up paint (E9 if you have lazer red) and then touch up the chips, let paint dry for about 20-30 min, then (wet sand over the area if you got out side the chip) then buff with a mid compound (3M fine cut will work ok) with a wool pad around 1500 rpm if you have little experiance at buffing, or 2600 if you know how to not burn your paint. buff to nice shine. OR take it some place and have them paint hood bumper and run the risk of wrong color and if you sell your car they might give you less money. but hey its your car. if your close to indy i can do it for ya
