1/ Take out all unnecesary things from inside the car and from your trunk, have a bag like small luggage piece to keep cleaning items etc in. I showed mine once and had my trunk like full of stuff, no one told me different, lol, I just let them grade it with the stuff in there rather than take it all out.

Have your AC nobs all pointing straight up as you can, make sure your seat belt buckles int he rear are buckled and straight as you can make them, glove box cleaned, trunk cleaned as mentioned above, clean inside of engine compartment with a fine haired brush around areas you would have never thought would get noticed....and also take those bumper gaurds off your car doors, they knock points off of for that ( consider rental car status ).
we dont do MCA car shows for the reason of pure pickyness, they take all the entire fun out of it, they expect cars not to be driven daily, and I belioeve they should knock points off of cars that have been trailored there...just because I have gathered half the bugs from SC to the event....

MCA is kinda tailored to the Concours cars. The kinda car where you have a covered trailer and you push the car to it's spot.
But here's something I've learned going to the car show. A little extra tire wet on the tread is a fun thing.

the most important thing i've learned is its not about a little plastic trophy, its about hanging out with cool people checking out cool cars.

You forgot about the fine hair (clean) paintbrush to clean the dust out of the vents and out of the coin holder/fog light switch area.

alwasy keep an interior small california duster and a big exterior and dust it often especially before the judge, alwasy clean the rims and shine the tires AFTER you get there else you will throw crap on your car.....
dont neglect the underside of the car and the inner fenders, alwasy shine the tread of your tire, buy some of that spray can blackener and use it for the tread, and inner fenders.
armoral before you clean the paint cuz you will get armoral on the paitn unless you spray it on a rag then wipe and you might even still.
park so you can have enough room to open your doors fully and people can still walk between you and the car next to you.
black up your gas tank with some armoral

well what ever shine stuff you use or stuff that just cleans and dont shine regardless use it in teh before mentioned places. I have won quite a few I have not went to any for a long while due to work, being at it every weekend all weekend seems to put a damper on the ability to do anything fun

i found a pair of plyers i left by my battery... after 2 weeks haha oh well.
and also DONT buy stupid looking stuffed animals and stick them in your car OR in front of dents on your car to keep the judges from seeing them lol..... some people go WAY over board, they need to show the stuffed animals instead of the car.

I learned to get there earlier so that you can park in the correct area and that I need more bling under my hood lol. I did my first car show a month ago and we got there kinda late so me and another guy were parked away from our class. I ended up not placing and he got 4th. I think we would have both done better if we were parked with our class
