hoods ( muscle car guys?)

well i want a new hood, and there are two hoods that i really like but i dont kno if they make any thing like them for our cars maybe some one can point me in the right direction. the first hood i would like is like the one off a 1970 chevell SS, they were like a crowl hood but at the back it had a scoop that when u punched it would flip open which was soooo cool. and the other is like the one off a 1970-72 GTO judge which had 2 scoops one on the right and left side of the car

Mega money but you could get one made like you want.

I had a local boat builder make me a 86 Cowl hood wayyyyyyyyy back when they werent available
Cost was $300 which was high then and I had to sand my azz off

Your not gonna find anything like a Chevelle hood. And why would you...it's a Mustang.

The closest thing to the GTO hood is the Mach II Ram Air hood seen here.




Or they have the Cobra R hood.

chevy, could never prove if there cowl induction hood was functional, so its not really worth it IMO

Just about all a cowl hood is good for is added room under the hood and looks.

thanks guys, i like the mach hood. and i dont think the chevells hood had any function it just looked awsome.

the chevelle hood ran on the same concept as the shaker hood for the mustangs

you can buy kits that when you push the accelerator down the scoop raises up. I seen them put one on a truck on TRUCKS the other day.
