Opinion on Stripes

Hey guys !
What are your opinions on stripes? I was thinking of putting a pair of gold stripes down the center of my car. I have a black mustang with the 'mustang' stripe/lettering across the sides on the doors. So I kind of want to stick with the black/gold theme.

Only difference is that my 2001 has the hood scoop facing the other direction.
Also thinking about getting the mustang lettering for the rear bumper in gold too.
Opinions ?

Excuse the poor quality of these pics, but should give you an idea of the type hood that i have and the side gold 'mustang' strip i was talking about. |

Id say go with a silver color... get rid of that stripe on the side of your car, personally i find those tacky

mm the gold or silver would work, gold.. Keep the side stripes, Silver.. loose the side stripes. i think dark blue would look great on a black car.

yea i will have to say go with silver i never liked the gold stripes on cars

There is a black 99/01/02 cobra around here with those stripes on it and I think it looks pretty good...might wanna try getting someone to do a photoshop for ya?

IMHO, get rid of the gold side stripe, get silver or white.
Get the lettering for the rear bumper, but get the aluminum metal ones.
And if you do decide to get a stripe kit, which I don't think looks good, make sure it will go with the other colors and that it fits your hood type! Big decals like those are enough of a PITA without having to cut it to ur hood.

or white. I kinda like a nice black/white contrast, if you can't tell by my white car and blackout head and tail lights, and almost completely black tint

Hey guys,
Thanks for the opinions. I'm going to stick with the Black/Gold theme. I'll keep the side decals. I actually really like those a lot so don't want to get rid of them. I have my calipers painted gold and they look great. Have had several compliments on them.
I need to get my K&N FIPK in this weekend. Was suppose to do it last weekend but found I was missing 2 pieces so had to wait for them to ship them out. I'm looking forward to getting that on.
