its up to you. I dont feel like constantly shifting all the time so i got a Auto. Just throw a shift kit and tranny cooler and the auto comes alive. But if you really want a Manual go for it.
Just up to you

it works right... it just likes to leave about 6-7 spots on my driveway if i park there over night. IM constantly filling the bastard up with more tranny fluid. PITA!!! I just want the thing to die so i can get a 5 spd but i cant make it obvious that i killed it (such as runnin it with no fluid lol)
edit - and yes, it did all this crap even before i beat the crap out of it with nitrous

not really. Ford Autos tend to like to die around 100k miles. If you abuse a auto or 5 speed it will die eventually. A T-5 cant handle alot of Torque. Neither can the AODE

It all depends on the Transmission. A well built Automatic is just as good as a well built Manual. Ford Autos arent built very well. The T-5 is built decent. Just dont put alot of torque through it. Or it wont last long
