Does the airbag require power to go off? If the battery was disconnected, would the airbags be able to deploy? I'm not thinking about doing anything stupid, I was just wondering. Thanks.

They do still have power after the batt. is disconectted, I belive they say let it sit about 20 mins or so before messing with the airbag systems. Not sure on exact time though

You need to disconnect the Negative Battery cable to drain the Airbag Battery Back up system.
Let it drain about 30 min
But yea they have Battery Back Up

There is always the chance for the air bag to go off...a freak chance after draining the battery power..but still a chance. What are you trying to do with your air bag?
