in 2000, the 4.2 and the 3.8 are still a shared block right? I know that 97 and up are interchangable, but I just wanted to make sure that they haven't changed anything and that you can swap in a 2000 4.2.
Thanks

SSM ported intakes and a FLEX 1/2 spacer, RPM ported heads and a 207 cam. SCT chip.

Blocks are still the same except you have to stay clear of FWD blocks. They are not interchangable with RWD blocks

Do they make a Front Wheel Drive 4.2? Or do you mean Four wheel drive?

NO I mean dont bother even looking at 4.2 or 3.8 blocks that are out of FWD cars. I am not sure if the 4.2 was used in any front wheel drive cars or vans. In looking I dont think they did. but just be aware!!! Front wheel drive does not matter because all the 4 whel drive difference is in the transmission not the block
