A friend of mine owns a 93 and has 17x9 2003 Cobras on his car. 275/40/17 tires
So 275/40/17 Tires with a 17x9 rim would be the biggest you would want to go

I have never owned a Fox Body so I am relying on my friend with his 17x9 Rims on his 93. He tells me with a 9" tire its very close to the brake lines and anything bigger is pushing it.
I like the first design better btw

my friend just went with a 17 by 9 03 cobra rim with a 6.11 backspacing and he barly rubes. if you are going with a standard 17 by 8 gt rim a 245 is as much as you want to go.
17 by 9 with a 275 up front will rub but not terrible, just try to get a 5.95 or 6.11 backspacing.

165r's for the front.
i would go with for a 265/60/15 on a 15x8.5 wheel. (should be about 27 1/2 diameter rear)
this will keep the front skinny/rear biggie look going.
if you don't get drag radials or et streets for skinnies and biggies, well, i don't know what to say. bfg drag radials are premo but won't last as long as the nitto dr's. m/t is still delaying their dr series. :-/
